Official Bio

Shelley grew up in Bismarck, North Dakota, and still maintains the hardworking values and wholesomeness of a midwestern girl. She was named Miss ND USA and placed 3rd Runner-Up in the 1990 Mrs. America Pageant. After college, she became a pharmaceutical representative selling IV antibiotics and cardiovascular meds.

Wishing to pursue a modeling career at the ripe age of 29, in an industry that promotes youth, Shelley made a bold move to Miami. Shelley has worked for clients such as Aveda, Target, Olay, Dillards, American Express and others. She has been a print model in catalogs, newspaper, billboards, advertising, and over the years has appeared in numerous national magazines like Good Housekeeping, Travel & Leisure, More and American Baby, as well as many regional publications.

Currently with Ford Models, Shelley has worked in the Chicago and Miami markets. Most recently, Shelley was chosen from over thousands of entrants by Cover Girl and the editors of More Magazine as their 2010 Beauty Search Winner and was featured in the magazine’s October Beauty issue.

An insulin dependent diabetic for over 30 years, Shelley has appeared on the cover of Diabetes Forecast Magazine and served as a Spokesperson for the American Diabetes Association speaking at events to raise money for this disease. She will be recognized on June 3, 2011 at the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation's, An Evening of Hope, as their 2011 Promise Light Honoree.
